KCG College of Technology, established in 1998 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu is affiliated to Anna University. The college affords twelve undergraduate (UG) and four postgraduate (PG) programs. Out of the twelve colleges, five UG programs – Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Information Technology (IT), and Mechanical Engineering (ME) – is permitted by means of the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). 

The college has been accorded recognition as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) through the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (DSIR). The university is an affiliated education center of the Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ) with the aid of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Government of India. KCG College of Technology offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in various specializations. 

Admission Highlights :

  • For BE, candidates should have passed their 12th board examination with at least 60% aggregate. Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 12th
  • For BTech, the candidate should have passed their 12th board examination with at least 60% aggregate in 12th Standard or any other equivalent qualifying examination

Admission for ME :

Candidates seeking admission in the ME program must hold a bachelor’s degree in BTech/ BE/ BSc/ MCA/ MSc in a relevant field with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for candidates belonging to the reserved category). 

Candidates must qualify TANCET or GATE in order to secure a seat in the College. Candidates with a valid GATE score are preferred for admissions.

Admission for Ph.D.:

Candidates must possess a master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology in any one relevant stream.

Application process :

Mentioned below are the steps to apply in Paavai Engineering College : 

  • The candidates have to follow for TANCET and TNEA through the authentic portal only.
  • For TANCET applications, the candidates want to register with a valid electronic mail ID, smartphone variety, and password.

KCG College of Technology Cut-off 2024 :

Candidates are given admissions to various UG & PG courses offered at the KCG College of Technology on the basis of the cut-offs of the respective entrance tests required for qualification . 

Cut-offs are released professionally by the college authority category-wise. 

The reservation criteria issued by the Government of India and the state are also kept in mind. Other factors include :

  • The total number of applicants applying
  • The total seats available
  • The previous year’s TNEA or TANCET cutoffs.

The candidates that meet the criteria are only preferred for admissions.

Admissions for most of the programs are done on the basis of merit, but for courses, namely :

  • B.Tech, and B.Arch, applicants are selected on the basis of the cut-offs of TNEA. 
  • ME/MTech, MBA and Admission are based on TANCET cut-offs. 
  • For MTech, cut-off scores in the GATE entrance test is preferred. 
  • For MBA, Cut-offs of CAT/MAT/XAT exams are also considered. 

Similarly, candidates applying to any other course must qualify the cut-off to be eligible to get admission.
