The Institute of Technology, Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial (NMAM), is a residential, autonomous college of engineering in Nitte, Karnataka. It was founded in 1986 and proceeded to get NAAC to grade A accreditation. Institute with NBA approval. In 3 streams NMAMIT offers more than 20 courses. Some of its flagship programs are B.E./ B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech.

NMAMIT Admission 2024 :

The admission process of the college is conducted through the online medium. Admissions are given to the aspirants by applying the application forms available online for respective courses, on the official portal of the college. The application form is made available on the institute’s website.

To explain with more details, NMAMIT offers full-time BE in 6 specializations, M.Tech in 12 specializations, MCA, MBA, M.Sc Engineering, and Ph.D. programs.

Candidates must apply for Karnataka-CET, PGCET, KMAT, and COMEDK – UGET through the official websites of KEA, KPPGCA, and COMEDK in order to be eligible for admission.

For Tech: Fee of INR 500 through Demand Draft favoring “NITTE Education Trust-A/C NMAMIT” payable at Mangalore.
For M.Tech: pay INR 300 by DD, with “NMAMIT, Nitte (Syndicate Bank)”
For MCA: apply the sum of INR 500 by DD entitled “NITTE Education Trust-A / C NMAMIT” payable at NIITE or INR 300 if the application form is downloaded from the website of the institution.

Here is the basic eligibility required for the candidates to secure a seat in the NMAMIT college.

B.E. Eligibility criteria :

For BE admission, applicants who have completed 10+2 with minimum 45% marks with Physics, Mathematics, and optional subjects such as Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer/ Electronics and English as a compulsory language from a recognized board are eligible.
Admission in B.Tech is based on CET/COMEDK UGET.
It is a 4-year course offering more than 7 specializations with an overall intake of 900

M.Tech eligibility criteria :

Candidates are required to hold a BE/ B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category) for admissions into M.E. /M.Tech.
Admission in M.Tech is based on GATE and Karnataka-PGCET.
Those with a valid GATE score are given first preference for admission.
The complete course duration is of 2 Years with around 12 specializations that accommodate an overall 218

MCA and MBA Eligibility criteria :

For MCA, a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with 50% marks Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Statistics/ Computer programming/ Business Statistics/ Business Mathematics subjects as an elective subject at Degree/ 10+2 level is considered eligible.
For MBA, applicants with a graduation degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks(45% for SC/ ST/ OBC category)are considered eligible.
Admission in MCA and MBA is based on KMAT conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Associations (KPPGCA), and KMAT/PGCET, respectively.
MCA and MBA admissions are done at the PG level with an intake of 120 and 180 seats respectively.

Karnataka PGCET is a pen-paper test of 2 hours duration and is conducted at the state level in the month of July. The question paper includes 100 MCQs of 100 marks.

M.Sc Engineering (by research) & PhD / Doctoral Eligibility criteria :

For Sc Engineering, BE/ B.Tech with a minimum of 55% (50% for SC/ST candidates) marks is required to become eligible for admission.
For admission to the Post-Doctoral program, candidates with Master’s Degree are eligible to apply.
For M.Sc by research, admission is based on the Karnataka-PGCET ranking.

NMAMIT Placements 2024 :

NMAMIT has one of the most well-organized and experienced placement cells. The placement rates have been increasing over the years.

Around 95% of the students that studied in the college got placed.

In the year 2019-20, about 62.5% of the students got placed.
In the core branches like CS, EC, and IS placements are very good.
More than 75% of the students get placed from these branches. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 17 LPA by Microsoft. The highest international salary package offered is 21 LPA by a Japanese company.
The average package lies around 3-4lakhs/annum and a few for higher offers as well.

Candidates are given admissions to various courses in NMAMIT on the basis of the cut-offs of the respective entrance tests required to qualify.
