What is Jharkhand DTODECE 2020?

Jharkhand DTODECE or Jharkhand Diploma to Degree Entrance Competitive Examination is a state-level entrance exam for lateral entry. It is conducted every year by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). Jharkhand DTODECE offers admissions to various B.E / B.Tech courses (Lateral entry) in Government and Private colleges in Jharkhand state.

Jharkhand DTODECE 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The minimum eligibility criteria for applying to Jharkhand DTODECE 2020 is given below. Candidates seeking admission make sure there eligible for writing the exam.

  • The candidates must be a permanent resident of the Jharkhand state as per the act of the State of Jharkhand.
  • Proper residential certificates assigned by the Jharkhand government should be produced at the time of admission.
  • Candidates should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • Candidates should have passed the Engineering Diploma course with 45% marks for the general category and 40% marks for reserved category.
  • The candidates appearing for the final Diploma exams or the final year students can also apply for the exam. The Engineering Diploma should be in any of the following streams.

Jharkhand DTODECE Admission Process

Step by step admission process of Jharkhand DTODECE 2020 is explained here. Candidates can clear their doubts.

Step 1

Application form filling: The candidates will have to fill the application forms for admissions to the second year of the B.E / B.Tech programs offered under the lateral entry scheme. The application forms are available online on the official website of Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). The candidates are requested to download the application forms and submit them online in order to appear for the Jharkhand DTODECE exam.

Note: Aadhar Card has been made mandatory by JCECEB from 2017 for filling the application form.

Step 2

Uploading Photograph and Signature: After filling and saving the form, the candidates will have to upload a clear recent passport size photograph and signature in the prescribed format. After all these, candidates have to pay an application fee which will complete the application filling process.

Step 3

Appearing for Jharkhand DTODECE: Candidate should make sure they carry they admit card with them at the examination center. The exam will contain 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question will carry 1 mark i.e., a total of 100 marks. For wrong answers, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Step 4

Checking the Result: Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) will announce the results of the Jharkhand DTODECE 2020 entrance exam on their official website. Candidates can check their results online by entering their application number and date of birth in the required field.

Jharkhand DTODECE 2024 Exam Pattern

Jharkhand DTODECE 2020 will be conducted in offline (pen and paper) mode. There will be 100 questions in total. 50 questions will be of Mathematics and 50 will of Sciences. Each question will carry 1 mark so the total marks will be 100. There will be negative marking (-0.25) for wrong answers. Questions will be in both English and Hindi languages.Jharkhand
