The Amrita School of Business Bengaluru (also known as ASB Bangalore or ASB Bengaluru) was founded in 2007 and is a constituent unit of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Bengaluru Campus, one of the five campuses initiated by Mata Amritanandamayi Devi and run by Mata Amritanandamayi Math, her international humanitarian organization. The institute provides broad-based and specialized education in management, training its students with the courage to meet the ever-growing challenges in the business world.

The Amrita School of Business Bengaluru is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and aspires to be accredited by AACSB. For business schools worldwide, AACSB accreditation reflects the highest level of achievement. This institution is approved by the All India Technical Education Council (AICTE) and has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with Grade A certification.

Three management programs are provided by the Amrita School of Business in Bengaluru. At the PG level, in collaboration with the University of Buffalo, USA, the institute offers a Master of Business Administration-Master of Science (MBA-MS) in Business Analytics and an Executive MBA-MS in Business Analytics. MBA-MS is also provided with an option to pursue a dual specialization. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is offered at the doctorate level by ASB Bengaluru in eight different specializations. Application forms in both online and offline modes for the 2020 Amrita School of Business Bengaluru admission process are invited. Admissions to these programs are provided through any entrances at the national/institute level, followed by a Personal Interview (PI) round conducted by ASB Bengaluru. Through a diversified process, admission to all three programs is achieved and the same is explained below:

MBA-MS: Admission to the MBA program is based on the score of a candidate in the CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/GRE national entrance exams; the final admission call is based on the composite academic score of a student, entrance test score, PI performance and work experience (if applicable).

Executive MBA-MS: aptitude test conducted by PI followed by ASB Bengaluru. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of relevant work experience to apply for the course.

Ph.D.: Applicants for admission to the Ph.D. program are reviewed by the Committee on Postgraduate Programs (CPGP); shortlisted candidates are then invited to the university entrance examination, followed by a PI round. Eligible candidates from UGC-NET/CSIR-NET are removed from the entrance test and called directly for a PI round.

Amrita School of Business Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants who have trained under a scheme other than CBSE/ICSE/State Boards can ideally receive an A grade (or equivalent) in an ‘A or equivalent level examination. It will give priority to students who have taken the Advanced Placement (AP) course.
Applicants who have obtained a Higher Level (HL) in Physics, Chemistry, Accounts, Commerce, Computer Science, Biology, and Mathematics and a Regular Level (SL) in an IB Diploma in English A1, A2, or B are given preference.

Preference is granted to applicants with advanced levels in Physics, Chemistry, Accounts, Commerce, Computer Science, Biology, Maths, and English with passes from the accredited British Examination Bodies in the UK (University of Cambridge, Edexcel) for GCE/IGCE exams in 5 subjects at OL with high grades.

Such applicants must obtain, from the Association of Indian Universities (link is external), New Delhi, India, an Equivalence Certificate for pursuing professional courses in India.

Amrita School of Business Courses:

In partnership with the State University of New York (SUNY) Buffalo, the Amrita School of Business Bengaluru offers MBA-MS (Business Analytics) and Executive MBA-MS (Business Analytics) at the PG level. The institute also provides its students with dual-degree specialization as an option. The length of the MBA-MS and Ex-MBA-MS courses is two years. Also, ASB Bengaluru offers a Ph.D. program in eight areas: General Management, Marketing, Finance, Logistics, Management of Organizational Behavior & Human Resources, Economics, Public Health & Healthcare, and Management Sociology. In both the full-time and part-time modes, ASB Bengaluru offers PhDs.

Amrita Business School

Although a period of eight years is granted to part-time scholars to complete their Ph.D., the full-time Ph.D. program allows scholars to concentrate on their studies and seek to complete their Ph.D. within a maximum of four years.
