About Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode  – 

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode is located on two hillocks in the Kunnamangalam Area of Kerala’s historic city of Calicut and spans an area of roughly 112.5 acres. With one of the most beautiful and oxygen-rich campuses in the nation, the IIMK has top-notch facilities like air-conditioned classrooms, visitor care areas, and LAN/WAN connectivity that allow every resident to have a positive experience. One of the most effective institutions in the nation, it is run by a committed regular administrative team of 67 people who understand how to maintain a positive balance sheet and satisfy all stakeholders.

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, which has origins dating back to 1997, began with a batch of 42 students, but it has expanded greatly over the years with a current batch strength of 356 or so students, making it the fastest growing management school in the nation.

The Interactive-Learning (I-L) Program for Working Executives in India was developed by IIMK. The Executive Management Education Programme, a two-year curriculum that began with 300 class contact hours in 2001–2002, is currently the most demanding programme offered in the nation and has roughly 738 class contact hours. 

The Institute joined honorees like London Business School, INSEAD, and HEC Paris as the first IIM to acquire the coveted AMBA certification. As part of the Singh-Obama Knowledge Initiative, Yale University and IIM Kozhikode inked an MOU in 2010 to establish a Center of Excellence for Academic Leadership. The first distance learning management programme in Asia was made available to working executives by IIM Kozhikode. According to the most recent QS World University Rankings published in 2020, it is currently ranked sixth among all management institutes in the nation according to NIRF 2020: Management Category ranking. It also made its debut at rank 101+ in Asia for its EMBA and PGP (MBA) programme.

Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode Courses – 

The IIMK has the broadest selection of academic programmes available in management education. These include of Executive PG Programs, Management Development Programs, Faculty Development Programs, and Doctoral Programs in Management (Ph.D.). In 2013, IIMK also established a satellite campus in Kochi’s Infopark specifically for executive education. In addition to introducing new exciting courses in Women Leadership, PGP in Business Leadership (2019), and PGP-Finance in the year 2020, the Institute also has the distinction of starting a PhD (Practice Track) programme for working professionals. Additionally, it started the first full-time PGP in Liberal Studies & Management at IIM (2020).

Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode Placement – 

100% of the summer placements for IIM Kozhikode’s PGP programmes’ 2024 batch were internships. The study also claims that 122 recruiters took part in new-age profiles and employed 541 interns. The maximum stipend available was INR 6.47 lakh.

 

Prior to this, IIM Kozhikode recently completed the final placement process for its 24th PGP batch, as well as the first batches of PGP-F and PGP Liberal Studies and Management (PGP-LSM). In just three days, the institute has placed 100% of its graduates. According to the final report, more than 116 recruiters took part and made 571 offers to 546 students. During the 2022 placement drive, the highest and median packages were INR 61.5 LPA and INR 26.5 LPA, respectively. Accenture, Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, TCS, HCL, and Cognizant were some of the top employers at IIM Kozhikode in 2022.

The institution has also completed its summer internship placement campaign for its 25th batch of Flagship Post Graduate Program (PGP), PGP Finance and PGP Liberal Studies and Management with 100% internships. The highest stipend available was INR 3.74 lakh, while the standard stipend was INR 2 lakh.

Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode Facilities – 

Library :- The library plays a vital role in the intellectual pursuits of students, professors, and the local community with its cutting-edge collection of knowledge resources and cutting-edge information services. There are 35500 print books, 200000 e-books, 270 print journals, 20000 electronic journals, and 54 electronic databases among the materials offered in the library. To support the learning process, the library provides a variety of information services that adhere to the highest industry standards. IIMI Library participates actively in both INDEST Consortia and IIM Consortia.

Accommodation :- The school features 15 well-designed dorms that can house more than 910 students. There are some hostels with air conditioning capabilities. To meet the students’ computing demands, a LAN connection has been installed in every room of the hostel. In each hostel, a TV and washing machines are available. Within each dormitory are call-making STD/ISD facilities. The institute also offers 116 practical basic and premium rooms with air conditioning, an attached bathroom, a TV with cable, a small refrigerator, and internet access for participants in its management development programmes.

Classrooms :- The design of IMK creates a conducive environment for better and more efficient learning. To make learning more interactive, schools use computers, multimedia projectors, motorized screens, OHPs, Wireless Presenters, and other audio-visual tools. Both standard LAN connectivity and Wi-Fi are available in every classroom. Modern ISDN and IP-based video conferencing equipment is also accessible in a second high-tech room.

Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode Ranking – 

Top rankings in management education have been attained by the IIM Kozhikode by numerous national and international rating organisations. IIMK has grown significantly in importance in the eyes of the Indian government. In the NIRF Rankings 2022 for B-schools, IIM Kozhikode placed fifth.
