 Since its inception in 1983, APOLLO UNIVERSITY  the Apollo Group has been committed to improving Indian society through various healthcare initiatives. Extending this has been education initiatives enabling the healthcare sector to provide the best workforce to the industry through multiple medical and nursing colleges across India.

Apollo University, established in 2016 under the aegis of the Apollo Hospitals Group, offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in medical science across various specializations. The candidates’ scores in their most recent qualifying examination are prioritized in the University’s admission process.

 

 

Overview of the Apollo University

 

The Apollo Group has launched The Apollo University, a state-private university in Andhra Pradesh, due to the success of many educational initiatives. It provides students with a high-quality education that prepares them for a “life and career,” particularly emphasizing multidisciplinary education in healthcare, engineering, management, and social sciences. The University was established in Chittoor and will begin operations in November 2021.

 

This expanding University on 100+ acres of lush green suburban space is ideal for academic pursuits in a safe, secure, and healthy environment. Campus life promotes students’ overall development by allowing them to participate in various student clubs, outdoor activities, and social outreach. The Total Health Project in Aragonda, a village 20 kilometers from the University and our founder’s hometown, Dr. Pratap C. Reddy, is a model that should be replicated nationwide. Students gain firsthand community engagement experience while working on social determinants of health and improving demographic indicators.

The University seeks to foster an environment conducive to learning that includes hands-on learning and a research-intensive climate to prepare students for careers in the industry. Apollo University has been approved as a private university under the Andhra Pradesh Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Act 2016. The School of Technology (SOT), the School of Management (SOM), the School of Social Sciences (SOSS), and the School of Health Sciences are its four schools. A solid infrastructure allows all schools to ensure experiential learning for their students. Furthermore, the University has formed academic alliances with prestigious global universities such as John Hopkins and Harvard to provide students with an international learning environment.

All faculty members at Apollo University are highly experienced, deeply committed to their work, and always eager to assist students. College teachers are passionate about their subjects and work hard to prepare their students for the best in the industry. Apollo University employs 42 faculty members from various departments.

 

Objective

The Apollo University (TAU) in Chittoor was founded on academic rigor and excellence, socially relevant research that impacts lives, and a need-blind inclusive admissions policy. The legacy of over 40 years in corporate healthcare has made us aware of gaps in higher education in the healthcare sector. We have attempted to address this by reworking the curriculum of such courses and starting entirely new programs. Our programs and research occur at the crossroads of healthcare, technology, management sciences, and humanities.

 

The Apollo University aspires to create future global leaders through transformative education developed at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and management, having roots in Innovation & Research in an inclusive culture that stimulates critical thinking and sustains our legacy of excellence.

 In his role, Prof. Vinod Bhat will be responsible for the smooth functioning of the University, devising strategies and action plans for achieving Academic Excellence, and nurturing a Research and Innovation ecosystem Governance supported by National & and international collaborations suitable.

The Apollo Group is India’s largest private-sector healthcare provider. Students can work in our facilities on projects, during internships, and even as employees after graduation. On the other hand, TAU creates elective opportunities for students to do a semester abroad with credit transfer agreements with our partner universities to make our graduates globally employable.  Courses, eligibility, and Fees

Cross-disciplinary learning, hands-on experience, real-world application, creativity, critical thinking, communication, and the ability to solve unanswered questions are all encouraged at the University. We leave no stone unturned in ensuring our students’ holistic development in a conducive learning environment. Furthermore, TAU’s faculty is drawn from premier institutions around the world.

Candidates applying for UG courses must be 17 years old as of December 31, 2021.

Faculty: The faculty at the college are highly qualified and experienced.

The Apollo University in Chittoor provides B.Sc., M.Sc., MSW, and MPH programs. The following are the specifics:-

B.Sc, B.Tech, BBA, BSW, B.Sc(optometry ) – 10+2 or its equivalent examination with science subjects and an overall grade point average of 45% from a recognized board

M.Sc, MSW, MPH – A minimum of 50% in an undergraduate degree in life sciences, clinical sciences, or social sciences from a recognized university

 MBA – A minimum of 50% in an undergraduate degree from a recognized university.
