A group chairman, R.N Shetty, founded R.N. Shetty Institute of Technology (RNSIT), as the name suggests. R.N Shetty leads the Murudeshwar business association affiliated with a wide range of educational, building, and industrial institutions. Founded in 2001, it is a private institution headquartered at the RNS Institute for Technology in Bangalore. RNS is renowned for its contribution to engineering and technology as one of Bangalore’s best schools.

The divisions are separated into three major parts and each department offers various courses. The NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council), with a grade of 3.17, is accredited by RNS Institute of Technology. It has an AAA+ ranking and is one of India’s leading engineering colleges.
RNSIT Facilities:
Six days a week RNS Institute provides staff and students with banking facilities. There is also a canteen and a hostel (separate for boys and girls) with food, lectures, simple lodging, hotel rooms, and a library. A decent fitted gym with various timings for boys and girls is also provided.
The Placings and training centre is funded by a large array of facilities including the air-conditioned 200-seater seminar hall, a 400-seater seminar cum testing hall with advanced technological teaching devices, such as an LCD screen, WiFi, computer assist and so on The Institute is now operating its own autonomous, self-sufficient training cell. The two halls of the seminar will provide 600 students with simultaneous research facilities. The centre also houses separate interview rooms and company panel/HR Administrators from the business community.
Hostel: There are two Boys and one Girls Hostel at the Institute. There are 530 boys and 300 girls in these hostels. Early in the morning, both boys and girls will take Yoga and Meditation lessons. The hostels enforce rigid discipline. In the hostel’s premises, there is a well-equipped parent and guestroom.
Library: RNSIT is an electronic library. Bar codes and identification cards for students are issued to process libraries. Books are bar codes. The library has been subscribing to the VTU Consortium for the sponsorship of project work, technical reports, and research and development work for library users. There are more than 26,341 volumes, 80 journals, 18 magazines and 11 newsletters in the collection.
Banking facility: There is a Canara Bank extension in the college to provide students and staff banking services that operate six days a week.
Canteen: The Institute has a canteen on the campus that serves both South Indian and North Indian dishes at an affordable price. Both working days of the canteen are available.
Gym: RNSIT has an on-campus gym to suit students and employees. This service is open at various hours for both boys and girls.

For BE/BTech
RNSIT offers B.E in seven distinct disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Technology and Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. For four years, Computer Science & Engineering.

- BesidesBesides, one of the KCET/COMED-K entry exams is required for the applicant.
- If the seats are unallocated, applicants may still be given entry to the organisation with the quota (management quota).
- The applicants are required to return to the organisation after the consultation process is finished.

Post Graduate courses:
M.Tech, MBA. MCA & M.Sc. are also offered at the PG level by the university. All classes are open to the online application. M.Tech admission is based on the marks earned by KEA in the postgraduate common entry exam (PGCET). Admission in M.Tech via a Graduate Examination in Engineering may also be given for qualifying candidates (GATE).
- Eligible applicants must be present in KEA’s PGCET to request entry to MCA and MBA. In KMAT, too, candidates will appear.
- Any applicant for entry to the institution needs to qualify the eligibility standards laid down by the institution and the admission reviewing board concerned.
- Once the applicants are evaluated in their chosen subject and obtain a certain ranking, a rank depending on their merits is assigned. To take the seat, the applicants must go through the relevant consultation process.

PhD Programs
In different disciplines, RNSIT also provides PhD programmes. The entry is based on a PhD review carried out by KEA. The approval is dependent on the merit of the test and the qualification of the applicant. The courses in architecture, 1 in management and 1 in the IT department are offered in a total of 8 PhD courses.
Eligibility:
Master’s degree or similar from (10+2)+3+2 method of at least 55% composite scores in a subject related to the candidate’s field of study.
In the fields of physics, chemistry and mathematics, the minimum eligibility recommended by the college is 60% on average (University stipulates 45 per cent min). Secondly, the claimant must inevitably appear for KCET or COMEDK or JEE (formerly AIEEE) and consequently produce the ScoreCard for acceptance. In justifiable conditions, the average administrative marks should be relaxed case by case. The management fees for each division of engineering differ depending on costs defined.

RNSIT Admission process:
RNS Institute of Technology (RNSIT), Bangalore is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. In the year 2001, RNSIT was established. In a set of specialisations, RNSIT, Bangalore admits to separate UG and PG programmes. The courses offered include a B.E., M.Tech., MBA, MCA, M.SC and PhD. The courses are also available.
The entry for B.E is dependent on KEA (Karnataka Assessment Authority) and COMEDK UGET marks scored in the Karnataka Common Entry Test(KCET) and PGET marks selected in the GATE or PGCET programmes. MBA and MCA admissions are awarded under KMAT/CAT/MAT/GMAT or Similar. The PGCET score includes admission into M.Sc and PhD programmes.
In January every year, the application process starts for KCET, in February it begins for COMEDK. The KCET examination application fee is INR 650. For PG applicants, the GATE submission must be registered. The GATE registration begins in September. INR 750 is the GATE application fee.
KCET
The Karnataka government carries out a Common entrance examination (KCET). Based on the outcome of the review, a merit list is created. The review is held in April or May each year.
COMEDK
This examination is carried out for students who also do not study in Karnataka. This also takes place in May every year. Admissions are dependent on merits and applicants must present for the verification of records. The findings are collected from therapy sessions.
Application Process:
Additional entry to BE courses is based on the marks registered in Karnataka, the COMEDK UGET and JEE Mains examination.
- The entry is based on GATE or PGCET marks for M.Tech.
- MBA admissions are given based on or equal to KMAT/CAT/ PGCET.
- Acceptance is given under PGCET for M.Sc and MCA.
- Via the KEA entry test, PhD programmes are also offered.
UG courses Application:
- The eligibility requirements specified by the organisation should have been eligible for RNSIT candidates.
- In the case of one of the KCET/COMED-K admission exams, the applicant should also be present.
- Following the release of the scores and the ranking list, candidates may engage in a structured review mechanism for filling choices and seat distribution.
- During the consultation period, students are granted final entry, depending on the option of filling, verification of documentation and payment of fees.
PG Courses Application:
- The nominees must apply for and appear for the Common Entry Test postgraduate (PGCET). RNS Institute of Technology, Bangalore also acknowledges GATE ratings.
- Besides, applicants who have qualified for the entrance test have to be included in the advisory process on the selection and seat distribution.
- Students are given final entry according to their merits, preference, verification of documentation and payment of fees during the consultation period.
If any seats remain unallocated, the applicant can still gain entry to the organisation through the Institute Management Quota.
RNSIT Placement:
RNS Institute is a standalone placement cell that assists students since 2002. Since 2002. The students through this cell take special training courses to allow them to develop new skills to assist in the workplace. Besides, visits to the sector are arranged and encouraged. This cell provides instruction in various essential techniques, simulated placement tests and interviews to improve the likelihood of getting hired. A graduate’s average pay is between 2.65 lakh and 6.2 lakhs.
For the last five years, the offers received have hit a new high for 852 offers, including 104 businesses on campus visiting records. Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Bosch and Atos Origin are among the most popular firms.

RNSIT Cut-off:
Candidates are given admissions to various UG & PG courses offered at the RNSIT based on the cut-offs of the respective entrance tests or merit required for qualification. Cut-offs are released professionally by the college authority category-wise.
