GMIT stands for Gowdara Mallikarjunappa Institute of Technology. It is a college of engineering and technology in Davangere, Karnataka, founded by the GM Family-owned Srishaila Educational Trust, Bheemasamudra.

GMIT, Davangere Admission process :

Admission into the Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology can be made online or offline by filling up application forms of the respective entrance examinations.

At GMIT, engineering courses are the most popularly opted by students. Among these ones, B.Tech. For both students and parents, (Bachelor of Technology) courses are the most sought after.

To get admission into B. Tech, candidates have to appear for the Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET) or COMED-K/CET/JEE Main entrance examinations, while for the M.Tech candidates need to appear for PGCET or GATE.

Admission to the engineering colleges in Karnataka is through centralized CET / Comed-K / Management entrance tests.

Eligibility Criteria :

• Candidates seeking admission in the B.Tech course must have passed PUC /10+2 / equivalent qualifying examination from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of 45 percent marks in physics, mathematics, and chemistry/biology/biotechnology/electronics/computer science in aggregate (40 percent marks in aggregate for SC / ST / CAT-I / OBC candidates)

Government seats can be achieved through PGCET conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), Bangalore.
