BIMS

The Bangalore Institute of Management Studies is renowned for offering quality management education. Geetha Educational Trust runs the institute and is affiliated with Bangalore University. It is AICTE-approved. It is a private management college and in different specializations, it offers BBA, BCom, BCA, Corporate MBA, and iDream MBA.

The Bangalore Institute of Management Corporate MBA admission period starts every year in October. By visiting the official website, candidates may apply for various UG and PG courses online. BIMS Eligibility:

A graduate degree in a discipline under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern secures at least 50 percent marks including languages from a recognized university in aggregate.
In any discipline, the participants must have a bachelor’s equivalent degree.
Minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent, recognized by the UGC, from a recognized university in India.
Candidates appearing in their bachelor’s degree’s final year are also eligible. The provisional degree certificate must be furnished by September 30, 2020.

BIMS Courses:

BIMS

BIMS, Bangalore, at UG level, provides three years of full-time BBA, BCA, and BCom. At PG level, it provides a two-year full-time Corporate MBA and iDream MBA. CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, and CMAT are the exams approved for admission to the Corporate MBA. 

  • As part of the Corporate MBA program, BIMS also provides add-on courses and employability skills training. 
  • Entry to UG courses is based on merit. 
  • Based on marks earned in the qualifying test, candidates are shortlisted for BA, BCom, BBA, and iDream MBA.

BBA, BCA & BCom

Grade 12 or equivalent from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 50 percent

Three courses at the UG level are offered by BIMS. BIMS includes three-year UG-level BBA, BCom, and BCA. Class 12 is the fundamental eligibility requirement for admission to these UG courses. BIMS BBA, BCom, and BCA admissions are based on merit. Three years is the length of all these courses. In full-time mode, BIMS offers BBA, BCom, and BCA. For these courses, students may apply online.

Corporate MBA

Corporate MBA and iDream MBA are offered at PG level by BIMS. Any graduate can apply for these courses for admission. They just have to appear for an entrance exam at the national level. 

BIMS has six specializations offering Corporate MBA. Two years is the length of this course. CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, and CMAT, followed by GD and PI carried out by BIMS, are exams approved for admission to the Corporate MBA. This program is delivered by the institute in full-time mode.

At PG level, the institute also provides iDream MBA. Admission to this course is dependent on graduation marks received. For admission to the BIMS iDream MBA, a minimum of 50 percent aggregate for graduation is required. Applicants may apply online for this program.

BIMS Placements:

Each year, BIMS conducts placement drives to help students in their field of interest get good work opportunities. The Institute has an active placement cell that organizes students’ placement drives and training sessions to develop their communication, soft skills, and general aptitude.

BIMS

The 2020 BIMS placement session ended with over 95 students being put in different businesses. More than 60 students were recruited from the MBA program out of the total students put there. The campus was visited this year by top recruiters, such as Karvy, HDFC, Amazon, and ICICI PLI.

Students from UG and PG programs were recruited by some of the world-renowned companies during BIMS 2020 placements. 35 students from the UG program earned work offers in total. The BIMS placement cell takes care of the complete placement process, from the development of the prospective recruiters’ database to the organization of placement drives. For students, the placement cell also holds training sessions.

Bangalore, the placement cell of BIMS, has a good institution-industry partnership and is responsible for the effective implementation of the placement process. The placement cell must invite potential recruiters so that in their chosen area, worthy students can get good job opportunities. Some short facts from the 2020 BIMS placements are listed below:

  • Rs 9 LPA was the highest salary package offered
  • Rs 4.5 LPA was the average salary package offered
  • The lowest offered salary package was Rs 3.5 LPA

Only one of the meeting points between BIMS and the industry is placement. It is our mission to encourage the exchange of information between students and the sector. BIMS offers a placement network where businesses are encouraged to hire students with different specializations and job experience. Potential employers can engage in on-campus recruitment through a streamlined registration, PPT, and selection process. The Placement Team at BIMS seeks to provide companies and students with the best opportunities for mutually beneficial selection to understand the importance of using the right aptitude and knowledge skill sets for the right task.

The Placement Team selects, targets and invites companies for Final and Summer Internship Placements to identify the correct student-organization fit.

BIMS Cut-off:

Candidates are given admissions to various UG & PG courses offered at the BIMS based on the cut-offs of the respective entrance tests or merit required for qualification. Cut-offs are released professionally by the college authority category-wise. 

The reservation criteria issued by the Government of India and the state are also kept in mind. Other factors include :

  • The total number of applicants applying
  • The total seats available
  • The previous year’s cutoffs.

The candidates that meet the criteria are only preferred for admissions. Admissions for most of the programs are done based on merit.
