The Mount Carmel Institute of Management (MCIM) is an AICTE accredited autonomous institute. To emphasize women’s empowerment, the institute provides quality management education for women. According to the MaRS National Survey (November 2012), MCIM ranked 107th among the Best B-Schools in India and also won the ‘Business School with Best Academic Contribution (Syllabus) in Human Resources’ at the 17th Business School Affair Awards & DEWANG MEHTA Business School Awards (2009).

The institute only provides women applicants with a Post Graduate Diploma in Management. To be eligible for the program, women candidates should have graduated in any discipline with at least 50 percent marks. To secure a seat, you need the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), Common Admission Test (CAT), and Management Aptitude Test (MAT) score. For the group discussion and personal interview, the chosen applicants will be summoned.

The XAT: Xavier Aptitude Exam is administered for admission to MBA/PGDM courses by XLRI Jamshedpur.

Note: Students appearing in the final year are eligible to apply and corporate-funded candidates are also approved by the institute. 10% of the seats are reserved for members from companies.

MCIM Admission

MCIM Application procedure :

Admission into various courses at MCIM can be done by filling up the application forms that are available in the online as well as offline mode. The college changes a minimal amount as the application fee. 

Steps for Online application :

  • Visit the official website and create a login ID by filling in the mandatory information in the admission tab.  
  • Fill the application form with all the required educational and personal details and upload scanned copies of required documents. 
  • This is followed by paying the application fee via debit card/credit card/net banking or any other payment methods available. 
  • The candidate must take a print out of the form and payment receipt and is required to report to the college within ten days and submit original documents along with the admission letter.

Steps for offline application :

  • The candidate must register on the official website of the college. 
  • After this, the candidate needs to visit the college Admission Counsellor to fill the form, submit original documents, and pay the fee. 

OR

  • The candidate can issue the admission form from the college office or can print the online application form (available on the official website of the college), fill it up, attach the required documents along with the application fee (in the form of a DD in favor of the college) and send the same to the official address of the Mount Carmel Institute of Management (MCIM).

MCIM Eligibility:

Degree in every discipline (with at least 50 percent aggregate). Students in the final year are also eligible to apply and will be accepted conditionally.

The applicant shall apply for the Final Degree Marks no later than before the start of examinations for the MCIM Bangalore PGDM 1st Trimester failed examinations which are immediately canceled for admission.

MCIM Placement:

The Placement Cell provides students with different credit systems for grooming. To help students find their goals and to make them meet corporate obstacles, initiatives such as language programs, business ethics, community engagement programs, etc. The business interface contains summer internships, industrial tours, programs for management advancement, corporate executive seminars, etc. ICICI Bank, Vijaya Bank, Oracle, Canara Bank, Wipro, Times of India, The Hindu, Kotak Mahindra, IBM, Airtel, Amazon, Tata Tea, Cipla Ltd, Indian Reserve Bank, Bajaj Allianz, Samsung Electronics, etc are the previous recruiters.

  • Highest package: Rs. 5.75 Lacs p.a.
  • Average Package: Rs. 2.50 Lacs p.a.

MCIM Facilities:

MCIM Scholarship:

Scholarships are only eligible for students with a financially weaker family or meritorious students. According to the state’s rules, scholarships are awarded in the form of monetary benefits or fee relief.
Students are given grants and fee relief based on the student’s overall academic success. For the scholarship, students belonging to a reserved group may also apply.

MCIM Cut-off:

Candidates are given admissions to various UG & PG courses offered at the Mount Carmel Institute of Management (MCIM) based on the cut-offs of the respective entrance tests or merit required for qualification. Cut-offs are released professionally by the college authority category-wise. 

The reservation criteria issued by the Government of India and the state are also kept in mind. Other factors include :

  • The total number of applicants applying
  • The total seats available
  • The previous year’s cutoffs.

The candidates that meet the criteria are only preferred for admissions. Admissions for most of the programs are done based on merit.
