A private engineering institution, based in Indore in Madhya Pradesh, is the Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research (AITR). It was founded in the year 2005. It has a campus equipped with all the necessary specifications required to provide a conducive atmosphere for learning. It includes an engineering undergraduate and postgraduate degree and a computer and management master’s degree.

This institution is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) for BTech, Diploma, BE, ME, BPharm, and MPharm courses. Classroom

Spacious audio-visual classrooms provide students with the latest study materials and keep them in contact with lectures at other leading Indian institutes as well.

A sufficient number of well-equipped seminar halls with an acceptable learning atmosphere are available for the Institute. For guest lectures and other specialized activities like conferences & seminars, these halls are constantly being used.

Auditorium

We have a well-appointed auditorium, centrally air-conditioned, fully fitted with modern gadgets, and with a seating capacity of over 250. For various academic events organized by the Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research, (AITR) such as training sessions, guest lectures, workshops, MDPs, EDPs, FDPs, pre-placement talks, and other cultural activities, it is used on a regular basis.

The library is the Sanctorum of every educational institution, and the building and maintenance of a well-stocked library catering to the needs of the faculty and students of all its engineering branches and the computer domain has been given utmost importance at  Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research (AITR)

About 55,000 books, magazines, reference papers, archives, encyclopedic collections, and about 300 sources & textbooks, periodicals, and national & foreign journals are collectively stocked in the libraries of Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research on both campuses. For the advantage of students, 10 digital library subscriptions for BE and 5 for MBA have been added.

Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research (AITR) currently has over 15,000 books and 40 journals (both national and international) and a number of different disciplinary magazines. Records created by computers make this much easier. The library will take steps to join engineers such as IEEE (Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers) and other groups in the worldwide community and will enable students to engage in events and public relations, and E-Library is being developed and will be operational from the next session.

Library of Scholars

The Scholar’s Library is an initiative of the Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research leadership and faculty to provide assistance to talented, yet financially poor, students.

Such students get textbooks and course material for all subjects they study for their daily course via this library. At the very beginning of the session, these books are made available to needy students so that they can keep up with their classes and lectures.

 GD Room

Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research(AITR) Institute also arranges group discussions on wide-ranging subjects through formal course outlines as a complement to formal classroom teaching. These GDs are organized in a room with a capacity of 20 students, specially built for the purpose. The discussions are conducted under faculty supervision and with a strictly academic perspective.

Laboratories

For all engineering and computer departments, there are well-equipped and well-maintained laboratories to offer students sufficient practical training to meet the requirements of their specific fields.

 

Computer Labs

The Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research(AITR) Institute computer department has state-of-the-art equipment related to various computer science and information technology subjects. The department upgrades its laboratories constantly with the most modern laboratory equipment.

In all computer labs, a Wi-Fi zone and a 17 Mbps leased internet line are available, providing each student with ample opportunity & access to online reference material.

While there are more than 450 computers in the laboratories in the computer department, the institutes all have 1600 systems to meet the requirements of students on both campuses.

Labs and Consulting for Civil Engineering

Well-developed civil laboratories are available for students and the Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research undertakes consultancy projects.

UTM, CTM, CBR, Abrasion, and Impact Testing Equipment fitted substance testing laboratories, etc. Specialized highway content testing facility and concrete mix design.

In-situ materials research consulting, and consistency research of finished constructions.

Consultancy for building design, preparation, and drainage of stormwater, control of construction efficiency, and for green buildings, etc.

Mechanical Workshop

The Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research has outstanding workshop facilities to design and produce equipment. It has different parts, such as carpentry, filing, casting, welding, machine shop, etc. The mechanical engineering workshop with Lathe Machines, Drill Machines, and Electrical furnaces, among others, is being added with the new equipment.

In order to offer students the best possible practical experience, the central workshop of the institute is fully fitted. In the labs, all the equipment and instruments are modern and technologically advanced.

In the Department of Mechanical Engineering, we run measuring devices. UTM, Stiffness, Tester on Impact. On UTM, tensile strength with elongation and Yield / Proof stress tests are performed.

Lab EDUSAT-ISRO

The EDUSAT-ISRO laboratory consists of 60 computers and a series of receiving and transmitting systems. We can receive online lectures in our lab from RGTU, IITs, NITs, and other leading institutes in the country via this method. This gives our students broader exposure to different teaching processes and an opportunity through different lectures on related subjects to better understand the concepts.

English Language Lab

At Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research (AITR), there is a unique English language lab that enables students to learn language skills by developing their abilities in diction, pronunciation, presentation & communication through activities such as group discussions, personality growth sessions, etc.

This fully prepares students to pursue better prospects in the business world after graduation.

Canteen

A safe and balanced canteen provides students with meals and snacks during the day. Significant attention is paid to quality control of all foodstuffs, cooking processes, sanitation, and hygiene. Through constant interaction between the management/canteen committee and the contractor, it is also ensured that the variety is maintained in the canteen menu according to the requirements of students.

SAE-India Collegiate Club

24 mechanical engineering students from the Acropolis Institute of Technology & Research(AITR) participated in a national-level competition, BAJA 2012, organized by SAE, India (Society of Automotive Engineers) at NATRIX (National Automotive Testing Tracks) under the auspices of NATRIP in Pithampur, to explore their potential for creating automotive structures. The Acropolis SAE-India Collegiate Club was founded to foster the spirit of creativity among students.

Team Superveloce of Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research qualified for the BAJA 2012 competition, participating in the pre-qualifier round called ‘Virtual BAJA 2011’ held at Dayanand Sagar Institutions, Bangalore, against 242 teams from various engineering colleges from all over the country. The students presented a jury of eminent judges from various automotive industries such as General Motors, Boeing, Mahindra & Mahindra, etc. with their concept of a buggy.

The event took place in Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research (AITR)from 16-19 Feb 2012, when the Superveloce team of budding automotive engineers stood first in MP and secured ninth place in India. From 20-21 Feb 2012, the competition was followed by an HR meeting where companies such as M&M, GM, John Deere, Mahindra 2W, Tata Motors, Cummins, Varroc, Anand Group, ARAI, ICAT, and Fleet Guard were recruited from among the students participating in the event.

For various classes, the Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research college has different admission requirements.
